BECOME A PEER FACILITATOR FOR THE DIGITAL BRIDGE PROGRAM

For immigrant community members who enjoy helping others with technology and want to improve their leadership skills.
Program information:
Digital Bridge is a program to help immigrants in Philadelphia improve their computer skills and learn more about digital resources in their communities. We are looking for up to 10 Peer Facilitators who can help us train other immigrant community members on how to use the Northstar Digital Literacy platform, a website that teaches people basic technology skills.

What will you do as a Peer Facilitator
- Get trained to use the Northstar Digital Literacy platform
- Learn how to lead digital skills workshops
- Teach participants basic computer skills through computer labs and workshops
- Work on a small community project
- Receive support and guidance for your professional goals
Summary
- Full Program: September 2025 to June 2026
- Training: October 2025 to December 2025
- Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week
- Stipend: $250 for completion of training (Oct-Dec 2025) and up to $250 for workshop facilitation in Winter & Spring 2026.
- Format: Sessions will be a mix of in person and online.
Training Dates and Times: Fall 2025
- Orientation: Saturday, September 27th, 2025, 10:00am-1:00pm, in-person (Center City)
- Northstar Onboarding Workshop: Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, 5:30pm-7:30pm, in-person (Center City)
- Weekly Trainings: Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm, October 14th to December 2nd, 2025, some online (Zoom) and some in-person (Center City)
- Tutor Now Digital Skills Training: 2 Saturdays, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13, 10:00am-12:00pm, online (Zoom)
Practice and Facilitation Dates and Times: Winter/Spring 2026
- Peer Facilitator Check-ins: January to June, online (Zoom) - TWC staff will schedule time with Peer Facilitators for regular check-ins
- Practice Workshop Session: Saturday, Jan. 10, 10:00am-1:00pm in-person (Center City)
- Workshop Observation: Jan. to Feb., in-person (TBD)
- Workshop Assistance: Mar. to Apr., in-person (TBD) - Work with TWC staff to co-facilitate 1-2 community Northstar Onboarding workshops.
- Workshop Facilitation: May to June, in-person (TBD) - Work with another Peer Facilitator to co-facilitate at least 1 Northstar Onboarding workshop.
- Final Presentations: Tuesday, June 23, 5:30pm-7:30pm, in-person (Center City)
- Graduation Celebration: Saturday, June 27, 10:00am-1:00pm, in-person (Center City)
- Professional Development Support: July and Aug.
